Our interns can do more than hold a camera. We’re looking for students, filmmakers and travelers who are adaptable, creative and passionate. If you see yourself in one of the roles below, don’t hesitate–apply!

 

Leadership Team

Education Coordinator

As an Education Coordinator, you will act on the leadership team to manage teaching, education and the kids. You will coordinate with Education Directors and Acting Coaches throughout the program to ensure that our lesson plans are being followed and our students are getting the most out of our workshops. You will supervise our programs with special attention to the learning, safety, and experience of our students. Where necessary, you will assist Program Directors to facilitate other aspects of our programs.

Requirements:

  1. Experience working with kids, especially in a teaching role.

  2. Preferred involvement in a prior LCL program.




Production Supervisor

As a Production Supervisor, you will act on the leadership team to manage production, media management and our films. You will coordinate with Film Directors, Editors and Behind-the-Scenes Photographers to ensure that all content produced meets our standards and our interns have the tools they need to complete our programs. You will supervise production of our films and promotional materials, and assist with technical issues, including media management, and editing. Where necessary, you will assist Program Directors to facilitate other aspects of our program.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in filmmaking, including editing, cinematography, media management, production and script-writing.

  2. Preferred involvement in a prior LCL program.


Local Coordinator

As a Local Coordinator, you will act on the leadership team to assist our Program Directors in connecting with the community. You will be involved in planning production schedules, excursions, meals, accommodations and more on location. Further, you will be responsible for communicating with local businesses, schools, government offices and more on behalf of Lights, Camera, Learn. Where necessary, you will assist Program Directors to facilitate other aspects of our program.

Requirements:

  1. Must live in the location in which the program takes place.

  2. Preferred involvement in a prior LCL program.


Fim Team

Film Director

As a Film Director, you will take lead on bringing our students’ visions to life. You will assist our Education Directors with our language learning workshops and work closely with our kids to teach them about film, scriptwriting, theme and characters. Your guidance will help them develop their stories into 5-minute short films. During production, you will work side-by-side with a Director of Photography to visualize a script, while directing your actors to make their short film a success and instill in them a sense of confidence and satisfaction. You will also take on the role of Script Supervisor and during editing, ensure that your movie matches the final version of your group’s script.

Director of Photography

As a Director of Photography, you will craft our students’ films’ dramatic and visual aspects. In the beginning of our programs, you will assist Education Directors in our language learning workshops and advise Film Directors on crafting a feasible script. During production, you will work with a Film Director to shoot a film. You will be responsible for certain artistic and technical decisions, especially regarding lighting, shot selection, camera operation and sound operation. You will be in charge of equipment, making sure that all equipment is ready for filming. You will work closely with the Production Supervisor to manage media and with Editors to ensure that your film retains its integrity through post-production.

Editor

As an Editor, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with the kids, Education Director, Film Director and Director of Photography to ensure that the short film you have helped to write fits together in post production. In the start of our programs, you will assist Education Directors in language learning workshops. Once production has began, you will work on set as co-Script Supervisor. Once we’ve wrapped, you will take lead on fitting the pieces of a film together to make a finished movie. With the Director of Photography and Production Supervisor, you will be involved in media management. You will also work collaboratively with Behind-the-Scenes Photographers to edit promotional materials.

Behind-the-Scenes Photographer/Videographer

As a Behind-the-Scenes Photographer, you will chronicle the experience of Lights, Camera, Learn. Through video, photographs, writing and social media, you will record everything throughout the internship program. You will work with nearly everyone on the team, most especially our kids and our editors. You will take lead on developing and producing a program’s promotional material, including a 2-3 minute video, edited photos and blog posts. Further, you will take on the role of social media manager, developing a strategy with our leadership team and ensuring that our social media is active, creative and visually appealing.

Education Team

Education Director/Acting Coach

As an Education Director, your primary role will be to teach our students fundamentals of the language of instruction, while enhancing or correcting what they already know. You will facilitate our language learning workshops, while also having fun, being active, and keeping our students engaged. You will oversee the script writing process to help our students bring their thoughts to paper, and coach them in proper speaking, pronunciation and grammar. During production, you will work closely with Film Directors to give your students the confidence they need to give a great performance.

Songwriter

As a Songwriter, you will be the go-to person for everything musical. As many of our workshops and activities incorporate music, you will work closely with Education Directors to inspire our students to think of music in a new way. You will use music as a tool through which to teach language. During production, you will assist film teams with music selection and even original songwriting, and coach our students through things such as dances, music videos and lip-syncing.
