Why do we LCL?
The reason Lights, Camera, Learn exists is to:
Individualize education and prep students for skills relevant to the market
Provide a voice to stories that would otherwise not be told
Revolutionize traditional teaching methods through more innovative and effectual techniques in edutainment.
Foster a generation of cross-cultural understanding.
Provide access to quality education to every child on the planet.
Why is edutainment important?
We use the process of filmmaking to make learning fun and we create edutaining content to make quality education accessible for all. By having kids create that content, they are learning the skills necessary to succeed as a 21st Century Learner, and the kids who are watching our content are being reinforced to learn the concepts that are found in their local school curriculums. What solution do we offer?
We implement the LCL methodology of teaching through the arts into schools, allowing the system to innovate their pedagogy and empower the kids to create edutainment content. Moreover, our initiatives generate digital, educational content for students, which will provide all children with an alternative form of education.

Our directors are drawn to us for many reasons: some just need to fulfill their internship requirement, while others have found that edutainment and travel is their calling. The one thing they have in common is they come together to grow, connect, and give to one other and the stars.
If you are interested in an internship abroad, volunteering abroad, teaching english or other languages internationally, or if you are a student in need of some training before entering the job market - then this program is for you.
If you love traveling, or are already a traveler, and you are passionate about storytelling and immersing yourself in other cultures - then this program is for you.
If you are passionate about education, and love inspiring the younger generation, and are curious about the field of edutainment, then please take a look around. If you have a special talent, like songwriting, yoga, scriptwriting, or dancing - then we need you to share that talent with our stars.
Last but not least, if you are a photographer, a filmmaker, an editor, a cinematographer, a film director, a sound/light designer - then this is where you thrive. We are using the tools you know and love to truly make an impact on the world - and we want to tell the stories that the world needs to hear.
We call our interns Directors for a reason. We believe that Directors are leaders that inspire, entertain, and educate the stars around them.

This summer has been unforgettable. I knew after college I wanted to travel and work with children, but never in my wildest dreams was it in such a cornucopia of places, teaching and engaging with the next generations through film. Children are such a blessing and remind me of all we have yet to learn as we grow out of our innocence. Aside from working with kids: celebrating my birthday in Tunis, to France winning the World Cup in Paris, and helping lead LCL in Seville, I have had an incredible summer and can’t wait to see where LCL takes all us interns! @holleryourway
